The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from families who are currently known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months and those who are adopted or with a special guardian.  From 2012-13, Pupil Premium has also included pupils eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure). Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit but are accountable as to how this money is spent.

Our aim when allocating the Pupil Premium is to ensure that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all of the pupils and that appropriate provision is made for pupils who belong to any vulnerable groups. Pupil Premium funding is therefore allocated following a careful analysis which identifies the needs of groups or individuals.
