Additional Funding
Cawood Primary School receives two specific grants to support our work with pupils.
The ‘Pupil Premium’ is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for FSM (Free School Meals) in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings and children who have been ‘looked after’ by the Local Authority continuously for more than six months.
From April 2012, the Pupil Premium was extended to include children who had been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years. A premium has also been introduced for children whose parents are currently serving in the Armed Forces.
Schools are held accountable for how they have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families. From September 2012, schools are required to publish online information about how they have used the Premium. This is to ensure that parents and others are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium.
Full annual reports for the plans and impact of this spend can be found above on the Pupil Premium page.
If you think your child is eligible for Pupil Premium, please contact the office.
The Primary PE and Sports Premium is directed at enhancing participation in PE and to support sport and healthy lifestyles. Annual reports can be found above on the Sports Premium page.
